Kambiz Maani



Hello, 
This is Kambiz (Kambiz was an ancient Persian King - no relation). From childhood, I have been taught that “the World is but one country and mankind its citizens” - my first lesson in seeing the big picture. This has led me to live, visit and work in five continents.  Being exposed to diverse cultures, I consider myself a global citizen.

My work-life has been varied too – educated as an engineer, then moved to academia; have enjoyed diverse roles as academic leader, management/ leadership consultant, author, speaker and some say forward thinker. 

 My books represent my work and passion. They are about systems thinking and complexity (refer Book tab). They are known internationally and have been used at the universities, government agencies and corporations around the World.

Why This Blog?

For long I have been asking myself this question: Why the human race, despite all its achievements has got stock with the “either-or” mindset: I can either be a vegan or a meat eater, a Christian or a Muslim, a democrat or a republication. Why not Both, why not All?    I believe our education and upbringing have conditioned us to see life in fragments: mine, yours, theirs. This has caused a collective mindset of separation and isolation with considerable cost – personal, social and material – leading to, among others, disconnection, loneliness, and anxiety.
